Meet us - we are energetic and friendly - Helmut, Olena and Lilly!
Olena is originally from Ukraine. Olena works as an Aerospace Engineer on firefighting aircraft. Following her dream of living a sustainable life, she started beekeeping in 2017 and with Helmut's strong support she quickly grew her apiaries to 50 beehives. She loves tending to the bees, growing flowers, fruits and veggies, cooking and continuously educating herself about this world. Beekeeping feels natural as her grandpa in Ukraine and her great-grandma in Siberia kept bees. Olena also completed Bee Master 2020 course by UBC and BC Ministry of Agriculture. Helmut grew up in beautiful Austrian Alps. He too has engineering background. Helmut does all the heavy work on our farm and puts together equipment for beehives, woodworking and tilling the soil. He is extremely handy, driven and passionate about organically growing healthy fruits and vegetables, living sustainable life, and also providing the best quality local products to you. Lilly is not an engineer, she is a very, very sweet dog.
We fell in love with beautiful Canada and made it our forever home many years ago. We believe in quality over quantity, and take highest pride in our work and products. |
